Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Afghan Blue soothes aches and pains of smokers with a gentle, sedative high that gradually transitions the user into state of sleep.
Simply put, Afghan Blue is not only incredibly potent, but it’s also one of the best-looking strains around. From the long, pink pistils to the dense, tight buds that are completely infested with trichomes, everything about this strain is absolutely marvelous. The aroma and flavor are identical, reminiscent of fresh berries and hash. This bud is a great strain for treating patients in the PM hours, as it will assist in getting to sleep. Just watch out, as it may also cause you to devour all of the contents in your kitchen. Better order a pizza prior to smoking this munch-inducer.
It’s recommended to vegetate these ladies at least a month, if a decent harvest is to be had. While they don’t have a ridiculously low yield, this bud will produce a below average harvest. Greenhouse cultivation is not particularly recommended with Afghan Blue, as it is somewhat prone to mildew and bud rot, during late flowering. Even when growing indoors growers would do well to make sure the grow room has plenty of CFMs circulating. When growing outdoors don’t be surprised if these ladies turn shades of purple/lavender around the beginning of October, in areas where nights get cold during this time of year.
